Action Together Community Resilient ThermoHome Initiative About the Initiative The Community Resilient ThermoHome Initiative is a humanitarian housing program focused on families living in conditions of poverty and vulnerability in Ciudad Fernández, San Luis Potosí, Mexico . The initiative responds to a fundamental reality: poverty is often reinforced by the conditions in which people live. Inadequate housing can increase exposure to extreme heat, cold, moisture and other environmental risks while creating additional pressures on health, household resources and family well-being. Our approach is to address these vulnerabilities at their roots by providing dignified, healthy and climate-resilient homes designed to offer greater protection, thermal comfort, safety and long-term resilience.
